Aqueduct
Some of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge’s properties are serviced by the municipal aqueduct, namely the Calumet sector and a portion of Route 148 to the East.
The water quality of our aqueduct is excellent. It is supplied by two wells located near the Town Hall.
This is the map of the municipality’s water supply network, shown in light blue:

Provincial water withdrawal and protection regulations establish protected areas for wells, where certain human activities are prohibited or restricted, in particular agricultural activities (such as land spreading, sludge storage, farm compost or fertilizing materials, etc.) and oil and gas exploration as well as development activities. The property owners concerned receive periodic notices to this effect.
By law, municipalities must publish an annual report on water quality for their water supply system.
